KCIS organised a picnic cum educational tour to Air Force Station, Jammu for the students of Class III & V. The students were received by Air Force officials and then taken to the hangar, where the helicopters were displayed for them. The students were explained about the capabilities of the aircrafts during war, rescue missions and training sorties. The students displayed great enthusiasm to understand the operational aspects of the helicopters. Thereafter they were taken to the IAF Museum where they learnt about the history of AFS Jammu. They were also shown the videos of heli borne rescue missions and training exercise of commandos. An animated english movie "Despicable-3" was screened for the students which they enjoyed along with the savoury refreshments.
