Primary Wing of KCIS Celebrated World Earth Day

We at KC International are shaping the young minds of tomorrow by introducing them to the significant days of the year. The World’s Earth day is also known as the International Mother Earth Day which is celebrated on 22nd April every year across the globe, the aim is to come together to create more awareness about the dire need to protect environment. The day focuses on Global Climate crisis that is worsening with each passing Day.

So, here at KC International we had organized many events to fulfill the purpose and celebrate the day. The students of the Primary wing were engaged in the activities like PLAY WITH CLAY, BIRDS’ VILLA, PEBBLE ART, MOTHER EARTH BOTTLE ART and THE TRASHION SHOW.

The glimpses of the celebration reveals that students were exposed to the nature and they felt empathetic towards flora and fauna. Miniature Sea wonders made by Grade 1 was a sight to sore eyes. Grade 2 students used milk/juice cartons to make a Bird Villa and the hung the bird houses on the trees so that many birds can get a habitat. Many species are getting extinct but such activities can spread a mass awareness amongst the students to be in touch with nature and serve the nature in a better way. Pebble Art and Mother Earth Bottle art activities allowed students to showcase their creative and artistic skills. The TRASHION SHOW was the highlight of the day. The students wore the dresses made up of waste material and did ramp walk gracefully. The use of waste material infused the values and inspired them that how can they recycle and reuse the resources. The initiative is taken so that they can become more responsible and more sensible towards using and re-using the resources. Students of the primary wing were too engrossed and enjoyed the activities through this sensitization program. They realized that they should make an effort daily to reduce the problems.

Such fruitful activities can churn the rational wheels of our young students so that they can ponder over to save the resources for the future.

Principal, Ms. Anupama Sinha, Headmistress, Ms. Poonam Bhagat and Ms Rajni Malhotra were filled with joy and invigorated the students for all their potential, participation and enthusiasm to celebrate the World’s Earth Day. They appreciated the activities done by the students and they inspired them to be a better global citizen to serve their Mother Earth.
