"Reading is to the mind what exercise is to the body."
On 30th April 2019, KC International School celebrated Reading Mahotsav to mark the Culmination of World Book Day. A Symposium was organized in the school premises where the new students from Grade 6 to 12 read out an extract from their favourite book. Mr. Naveen Chopra, known to people as Bro. D, a renowned Actor, director & an educationist was the Chief Guest. The programme started with the lighting of lamp. Principal Mr. Subhendu Sarkar welcomed the Chief Guest & briefed the students about his great achievements. A special song was sung by the school choir followed by the symposium. This event was a beginning step for the students to access the breadth of the curriculum and improve their communication & language skills. Mr. Chopra addressed the students with his mind awakening & quick-witted thoughts. The students were spellbound when Mr. Chopra showcased his dramatic talent in the form of a soliloquy. The programme ended with a vote of thanks by Principal Mr. Sarkar. He encouraged the students to make reading a habit in their routine to boost their vocabulary & communicative skills.
