 
Teacher is a lifelong learner. The teaching fraternity has to keep abreast with the ever changing technology and the mindset of the students, thereby. To help students avoid miscommunication and misinterpretation and help them in correct word pronunciation, a workshop on ‘English and correct Pronunciations’ was organized at KC International School.
MrDarshan Sharma was the resource person on the occasion, who is trained in Pronunciation and Phonemes from the University of Oregon in USA.
The session started with the three levels of modification of pronunciation followed by difference between voiced and unvoiced words. He stressed on the correct pronunciation of every word and took a session on word stress and sentence stress.
He showed ways in which stress should be laid and how its interpretation changes. He also taught the sounds and symbols of phonetics.
The teachers were completely engrossed in the session and seemed confident at speaking English. |
