KCIS hosted 13th Inter School Music Competition - Sur Sangam 2018 - Event Gallery

Music is the pleasant sound that leads us to experience harmony and higher happiness. It connects us with real self ie; soul. To expose the children to music, KCIS hosted 13th Inter-school music competition SurSangam on 22nd December 2018 in which around 15 reputed schools of Jammu participated. Mr. RakeshGupta, President Chamber of commerce & Industries, Jammu was the Chief Guest of the occasion who was warmly welcomed by Sr, Vice Chairperson, Mrs. Saroj Mahajan and Vice Chariman, Mr. Chaitanya Chowdhary.

Among the judges were Mr. Naresh Sharma, Guitarist & Vocalist, Mr. Sunil Sharma Vocalist & Music Composer and Mr. Sahil Sharma Guitarist & Vocalist. All of them are the leading musicians of Jammu.

The categories for the competition were junior category, senior category and solo. The programme started with the lighting of lamp followed by a welcome dance. The hall was filled with children, brimming with enthusiasm and eagerness to showcase their talent. The students were well prepared for the competition. The judges the appreciated musical tone and texture of the students. The nuances of the music were also well followed by them.

The musical day concluded with the vote of thanks by the Principal, Mr. SubendhuSarkar lauding the efforts put in by the staff and students of different school in making this event a grand success. He also appreciated the efforts of music teacher- Ms. MamtaKalotra, Mr. Michael. The event was organized by Mrs.Nidhi D Bhosale, Headmistress and Mrs.RajniMalhotra, Activity Coordinator.
