The Children Science Congress, an important event of the Indian Science Congress, is organized to provide a unique opportunity to children of the age group of 10-17 years to use their scientific temperament and knowledge and to quench their thirst for creativity by conducting scientific experiments to solve problems identified by them. The programme is catalysed and supported by National Council for Science & Technology, GOI. The focal theme of NCSC 2018 is "Science,Technology and Innovation for Clean, Green and Healthy Nation”. It provide a forum to the children to pursue their natural curiosity and encourage children to visualize the future of the nation and help building a generation of sensitive, responsible citizens.
26th District Level Children Science Congress was organised on 12 November, 2018 at Govt. Girls Higher Sec. School,Shastri Nagar,and Jammu. Around 60 projects were presented in this mega event by different schools and the participants got an opportunity to interact with scientists and subject experts.
10 Students of KCIS- Suhani Rajput, Emmanuel Whitefield, Danish Sharma, Ashna Sharma, Rijul Jain,Rashika(Senior group)and Aadhya Pandoh,Rupali Sharma, Driti Kotwal, Divam Upadhyay(Junior group) along with their guide teacher Ms. Teena Gupta participated in NCSC and presented 5 innovative projects which were highly appreciated by all the experts. All the 5 projects are selected for State level which is going to be held on 1-2 December, 2018.
