“Let us not pray to be sheltered from dangers but to be fearless when facing them”
KC International School celebrated birth anniversary of Guru Rabindra Nath Tagore and Mother’s Day on 9th May 2018.
To mark the birth anniversary of Nobel Laureate poet Rabindra Nath Tagore, a special assembly was organised by the students of Sapphire House. The programme began with the ritual chanting of Gayartri Mantra and a mesmerising prayer “Satya Sunder Jeevan Path Par” followed by a pledge “where the mind is without fear” written by Tagore. A floral tribute was given to the prolific writer and thinker who had left a golden imprint in the annals of Indian literature. A talk on Tagore’s life and his evergreen works was also delivered by the students . A beautiful and awesome song written by Guru Rabindra Nath Tagore on wonderful mothers was sung by the School Choir under the guidance of Ms. Mamta and Mr. Michael.
The students and the teachers recited poems , presented a speech on mothers and they described the love a mother showers on her children and how we must love, respect and value this priceless relationship. A skit presented by the junior students on Mother’s Day was very heart touching and emotional. The Principal Mr. Subhendu Sarkar sensitized the students about the unconditional love their mothers shower on them and we should appreciate and follow what she does for us. He also expressed his delight and asked the students to follow the path of Rabindra Nath Tagore’s virtuous life and always remember afact that we start our day with Tagor’s pledge and end a day with National Anthem.
A singing of “Akla chalo Re”brought the programme to an end that has refreshed and highlight of the day.
