The 69th Republic Day was celebrated in all its solemnity and grandeur at KC International School on 25th January, 2018. An air of patriotic fervour permeated the atmosphere when the students started the morning assembly with a song ‘Unchin Hain Deewaren’ followed by a captivating dance performance on ‘ Kandho se milte hain kandhe’ A great sense of enthusiasm and affection was seen among tiny tots of KCIS through their songs and dance performances. The song, Bharat Humko Jaan Se Pyaara Hai and Dance De Di Hamain Aazadi by tiny tots made the audience feel proud of their country.
The patriotic fervour continued with a variety of cultural programmes organised in the school premises. Tarang, an Inter House Music Competition and Expressions, a Dance Competition were held to mark the occasion on the themes patriotic and folk respectively. The students set the stage on fire with mesmerising , soulful patriotic numbers which were different and exclusive. ‘ Gotipua’ of Odisha , ‘Kalari Pattu’ of Kerala,Chhau of Mayur Bhanj and ‘Ghumar’ of Rajasthan kept the audience spell bound-never seen before formations, style, music and stamina. Sapphire House was the champion in Expressions whereas Topaz House in Tarang. The judges, Mr Rakesh Kumar, Mr Narender Bhardwaj, Mr Dheeraj Mattoo and Mr Sumit Sharma and Mr.Danish lauded the performances, expressions in awe and wonder.The programme concluded with the guest performances,greetings by the Principal wrapped up by the National Anthem.The entire programme was co-ordinated by Coordinator Mrs. Rajni Malhotra.
