The theory on Multiple Intelligences by Dr. Homard Gardiner has caught up with the education world. The reason is that it brings a lot of flexibility and elasticity in the teaching learning process. Hence learning and understanding of a concept is retained by a child throughout his life.

Upholding this theory and keeping in mind the benefits of Multiple Intelligences, KCIS has invited two resource persons from Riverside School, Ahmedabad to conduct a workshop on 10th and 11th of July 2015. The staff of KCIS got an in-depth knowledge about the light Multiple Intelligence which are present in a child. These can be explored to bring out the best in the child.

Ms. Nandini Parekh and Ms. Hetal Jariwala were the resource person. On day one they covered the theory at Multiple Intelligences and made real life connections with the videos. The students were seen working in these videos on the skills mentioned above. There were also many activities which gave a hands on experience to the teachers. The sessions was kept interesting and the participants were kept enthusiastic by weaving energizers throughout the day. These energizers are also very useful in the classrooms to keep the students focused.

On the second day of the workshop the teachers reviewed their curriculum and planned it by interweaving the new skills that they had acquired. The teachers of the Primary Department attended the workshops.

The Principal, Mrs. Maya Mishra stressed that redefining education through such integrated activities to reach the learning objective was the need of the hour. She also said that implementing the activities successfully in the classroom would be the objective of the school.

Headmistress, Mrs. Kesar Patgel presented the vote of thanks on the occasion.She said that the essence of education actually comes out through the Multiple Intelligence theory.
