Workshop conducted by EHI Forum at KCIS

A workshop was conducted by Ms. Anju Mehta, a member of EHI (Educational and Health International) Forum at KC International School for the teachers. She has served as a teacher, a Vice-Principal and a Principal in various reputed institutions. Now, she is working with an International organization that gives a platform to the teachers to share their problems regarding student’s education as well as their health.

The workshop was very interactive and its glimpses gave the teachers about an idea how these kinds of organizations would be helpful for the teachers. The workshop began with the grouping of teachers and then each group had to weave a story on a given line.

Afterwards, many other interesting teaching games were played which can be implemented in the classrooms by the teachers. The workshop was very beneficial for the teachers as they came to know the importance of the soft skills and how these soft skills help us to achieve success in professional as well as in personal life.

The workshop also threw some light on SWOT Analysis. This concept of SWOT analysis would be a great help for the teachers to improve themselves day by day. A meditation session was also conducted. The meditation session really served as refreshment. The most enjoyable duration of the workshop was when teachers enacted reflecting the effective classrooms methods. A Presentation was shown regarding “Attitude towards the child abuse”. The workshop laid emphasis on language, communication skills and the body language of a teacher. Over all the workshop was influencing and had a great impact on teachers. Speaking on the occasion, Vice Principal, Mr. PS Isaac Daniel, stressed that empowering a teacher is very important to help her deal with the 21st century child. It is a challenge in itself to educate and empower children. Such workshops are a guiding light for the teachers.
