The students of KC International School, Jammu participated in ‘Knowing National Symbols’ an activity conducted as a part of the British Council Projects. The students researched on the National Symbols and flags of some of the countries of the world. They presented a scrap book on their findings. The students of Pre-Primary class I and class II also presented a fashion show depicting the different dresses of these countries. The students also spoke a few lines about it. The different topics were given to the students National animal, national flower and national sport. The students learnt to play hockey, the national game of India, cricket the national game of Unied Kingdom and watched documentaries on rugby and rugby players.
Ms. Ameet Kour was the teacher co-ordinator for the entire programme. This is a project in collaboration with British Council. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Ravi Bhushan, Principal stated that the students get to know about different countries by working on such international projects.
KC International school is working in collaboration with a school in Sri Lanka for this project. The students of KCIS have uploaded the scrap books to the students in Sri Lanka. The Sri Lankan students are also working on the same lines.
