KC International School organized a Panel Discussion ‘A Voyage of Political Arena’ an Interschool Competition 2014-15 on August 28, 2014 in its campus. The programme began with the lighting of the lamp by the Chief Guest Dr. Punika Pandita and other dignitaries present on the occasion. This was followed by a welcome song by the choir of KC International School. The students of around ten reputed schools of Jammu participated in a panel discussion on the fundamental rights given to the citizens of India, Pakistan and the United Kingdom. The students quoted latest examples like the Damini Rape case and Malala Yousafzai. They discussed the fundamental rights and their legality based on it. Some students also questioned the fundamental rights and the awareness of it among the individuals of these countries. The participants presented their views. After all the teams had spoken, a summarization round was held. The participating teams also had to present a file on the judiciary set up and fundamental rights of the three countries to be evaluated.
Speaking on the occasion Mr. Jasbiner Singh, the judge said that it was good to see the students presenting their views on such intellectual matters like the fundamental rights of some of the countries. Dr. Ganesh Malhotra the second judge also appreciated the efforts of the school in organizing such a wonderful programme.
The winners of the competition were KC International School and Jodhamal Public School were the 1st runner up.
This programme was a part of the International School Award. The vice chairman, Mr. Chaitanya Chowdhary also graced the occasion and appreciated the efforts made by teachers and students.
Principal, Dr. Ravi Bhushan presented the vote of thanks. He applauded the efforts of the teachers for training the students. A Panel discussion was organized for the first time in the city of Jammu. He reiterated that the students took up the discussion very well.
