Correct Pronunciation of words is important in all languages otherwise there are chances of miscommunication and misinterpretation. Educators must have proper knowledge and they must use correct pronunciation to imbibe the same in their students. Keeping this in mind a workshop on ‘English and correct Pronunciations”, was organized at KC international School on June 03, 2014.

Mr. Darshan Sharma was the resource person who took the workshop. He is trained in Pronunciation and Phonemes from the University of Oregon, USA.
He stressed on the correct pronunciation of every word. He also took a session on word stress and sentence stress. He showed ways in which stress should be laid and how its interpretation changes. He also taught the sounds and symbols of phonetics.

The entire staff of KC International School attended the workshop. Speaking on the occasion Principal, Dr. Ravi Bhushan also stressed on the correct pronunciation of the words. As futuristic educators this is an important skill for the teachers.
